CIABA Stability Laboratory
The Admiral Braz de Aguiar Instruction Center (CIABA) has an agreement with the UFPA Naval Engineering course. The Stability Laboratory of the institution contains a stability tank with three models (conventional hull, barge and a half-nautical section) to demonstrate equilibrium conditions; demonstrations of static stability; tipping experience and docking conditions. A model for demonstrating the principle of cross curves and constructing stability curves. A model for demonstrating the movements of the bottom center and the metacenter. Various models of ballast tanks for demonstrating the effects of free surface.
Laboratory of Mechanical Engineering (LABEM)
